Catholic Mutual Canada

Catholic Mutual Canada was formed on March 13, 2003, to provide claims and risk management services to the arch/dioceses of the ecclesiastical Province of Ontario, Canada, who are members of The Catholic Mutual Relief Society of America. Catholic Mutual Canada is a United States non-profit corporation, domiciled in Nebraska, enjoying §501(c)(3) United States Internal Revenue Service tax-exempt status. It is registered with The Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Business Services, with Ontario corporation number 1568808, as an Extra-provincial Foreign Non-Share corporation. It is exempt from licensing under the Extra-Provincial Corporations Act, because it is a non-profit organization. The Toronto Service office was opened on May 20, 2003.

Through contract with The Catholic Mutual Relief Society of America, Catholic Mutual Canada provides claims investigation and adjudication services, as well as risk management advice, seminars, and inspections at both the parish and diocesan levels. Additionally, through contract with the Ontario Conference of Catholic Bishops, it provides audits of diocesan sexual abuse policy compliance.
