A Message from the Chairman of the Board and the President of Catholic Mutual Canada

Welcome to the Catholic Mutual Family! This is an exciting time for us at Catholic Mutual with the 16 arch/diocesan members of the Insurance Management Board of the Province of Ontario becoming Members of Catholic Mutual on June 1, 2003. Although Catholic Mutual has been in existence since 1889, having diocesan Members in Canada join Catholic Mutual is historically significant. In the United States we currently have 113 of the 195 arch/dioceses and over 250 religious orders as Members. Adding 16 arch/dioceses in Canada is a monumental step forward in reaching our goal of providing the Catholic Church in North America with a self-protection program that is insulated from the volatility of the commercial market place.

Although cost and coverage are important factors in establishing the program, we also feel service is equally important. From claims to risk management, we hope you will find a major change from what was previously provided. Catholic Mutual is here to listen, to be sensitive to your needs and to provide relative, useful services. Our mission, although simple, has been and will continue to be "to serve the temporal needs of the Catholic Church".
